"May is Cohousing Month" here in the mid Atlantic area. As usual, Mid Atlantic Cohousing (MAC) is honoring the event by sponsoring a Spring Cohousing tour of six MAC member communities in the metropolitan Washington, DC area.

Join us on a comfortable tour bus with a knowledgeable guide while we tour Eastern Village, Blueberry Hill, EcoVillage, Catoctin Creek Village (formerly Proximity Cohousing), Wheatland Vegetable Farm, and Liberty Village. Residents of each of these communities will lead an on-site visit. Join us for an exciting day of real-life examples of neighborhood choices from urban, to suburban, to rural.

Responding to requests from folks who keep the Sabbath or who work or have other obligations on Saturday, the tour this Spring will be held on SUNDAY May 22nd.

Date: Sunday, May 22nd, 2005
Location: tour starts and ends near the Silver Spring Metro station. The meeting place and directions will be sent with confirmation e-mail when you register.
Times: The tour begins at 8:45am. The van will leave at 9:15am.
Food: Included are morning coffee and tea, a buffet lunch around noon, and late afternoon snacks. You will be asked for food preferences after your registration is received.
