At Catoctin Creek Village, neighbors:
▪ Enjoy a safe, quiet, family-friendly environment;
▪ Preserve and enjoy the beauty of our nature conservancy;
▪ Share hobbies and interests like fishing, horse-back riding, and woodworking;
▪ Organize and participate in activities like boating, stargazing, hiking, community dinners, games, and movies;
▪ Create cooperative projects like trail-making and vegetable gardening;
Community activities and property are managed jointly by the owners. Currently, the Catoctin Creek Village owners hold a general business meeting and potluck about once a month. There is usually some kind of seasonal party, casual dinner, children’s event or other social event at the common house about once a month. As more households move in, community dinners are likely to be organized about once a week. Attendance at community meetings and events is always optional. Each member is asked to contribute 4 hours per month to community work such as grounds maintenance, common house cleaning and repair, bookkeeping, barn maintenance, marketing and event support. This is a flexible program which allows members to swap hours with others, accumulate them from month-to-month, or pay an HOA premium instead. |
