Mission: To build a cooperative community where residents pool resources in order to have greater access to natural beauty, recreational facilities, shared meals, educational resources, entertainment, security, a sense of belonging, and fellowship.

We are creating a social and physical environment that fosters spontaneous, neighborly interaction and community interdependence while safeguarding the independence and privacy of each individual and family.

Membership is open to all who want to live as cooperative participants in neighborhood events and governance: no one docrine, philosophy, or lifestyle is promoted.

Social Goals and Priorities.
We want to live in a cohousing community characterized by:
1. Fun.
2. Mutual Respect
3. Warmth and Caring
4. Interaction and Collaboration
5. Physical and Emotional Health and Security
6. Conscientious Ecological Stewardship
7. Support for Each Life Stage: Infancy through Elderhood
8. Demographic and Lifestyle Diversity
9. Balance between Individual Interests and Community Involvement

Site Plan Goals and Priorities.
We are creating our homes and commons with these priorities:
1. Homes are clustered together in small groups.
2. In addition to private property, a large nature preserve and community buildings are held in common by the homeowners' association.
3. Commons include recreational facilities, shared buildings, agricultural land, and nature preserve.
4. Each cluster of homes can share some common feature (e.g., courtyard; garden; fountain; playground...)
5. Automobiles are de-emphasized.
6. Shared footpaths will connect all residences and commons to encourage pedestrian traffic because it builds social interaction as a daily part of community life.
7. The natural environment (air, water, plants, and wildlife) is preserved and enhanced.
8. Structures are designed and oriented in harmony with the landscape and conform to common aesthetic guidelines.
9. Structures are designed to best use natural light.
10. Architectural features are deliberately comforting, friendly, and inviting: Courtyards, covered walkways, porches, arches, lookouts, nooks, benches, picnic spots, play areas, and use of water, stone, wind, circles, hexagons, and so forth.

Invitation: Come join us!
You'll have plenty of personal space while living in community with neighborly folk. We welcome diversity in talents, opinions, race, faith, political views, age and lifestyles.
